Dive into the DNA of Storytelling
Amidst the cacophony of today's media climate, good storytelling and an artistic sensibility will still cut through all the noise. Even as platforms continue to morph and multiply, this common DNA consistently captures the attention and imagination of new audiences. Join us as we celebrate quality storytelling and captivating aesthetics, and tap into the power behind their magic.
Expand Your Community and Your Connections
We have a tradition of spaciousness in our schedule, with lightly-facilitated opportunities for connection, co-creation, and peer advice. We'll discover what each us wants to accomplish, and help steer each other toward those goals. Good times are also inked in.
Reconnect and Recharge
Media that Matters takes place at Hollyhock, one of North America's most enchanting wilderness retreat centers. Amidst an infinity of sea and stars, with the forests, fjords and mountains of Desolation Sound at its doorstep, Hollyhock offers a perfect context for keeping our priorities straight. Meditation and yoga are available every morning, as well as gourmet vegetarian food three times a day. Hot tubs with expansive views are there for your enjoyment, as well as a talented bodywork staff.
Nourish Your Vision
Be part of a low-key, high-bandwidth, intimate gathering of media professionals from a variety of disciplines, ages, and perspectives. Media that Matters is a perfect atmosphere to brainstorm new ideas, build alliances, sharpen skills, and rekindle the passions that keep us working for a more just and sustainable world.  Innovation, trust, confidentiality, and the power of nature are its cornerstones.
